Lucknow: In a high level meeting convened at his government residence here today, the decision to constitute ‘Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force (UPSSF)’ was taken under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this order, he has given instructions to start the process of formation of ‘Uttar Pradesh Special Protection Force’ in the state. He said that according to the demand of the present time, special trained force is needed for the security of metro rail, airports, industrial institutions, banks and other financial institutions etc. as well as district courts. In view of this, there is a need to set up a Special Security Force, which performs security operations in a professional manner.
The Chief Minister said that special training of ‘Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force’ should be done. They should be made aware of modern security systems and safety equipment. This force will be made available for the protection of metro rail, airports, industrial institutions, banks, financial institutions, important establishments, historical, religious and pilgrimage sites and other institutions, district courts etc. in Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister was apprised in the meeting that the headquarters of the UPSSF is proposed in Lucknow. In the first phase, 05 battalions of this force will be formed. The Chief Minister has instructed to prepare a proposal in this regard soon and submit a proposal.
