The Chief Election Commissioner said that if the constitutional situation is seen then a by-election should take place within 6 months. If adverse circumstances are observed then we can also talk to the governments under section 324. He said that there will be a meeting of the Commission regarding this, many issues will be discussed in this meeting, but there will be no discussion on the dates of the by-elections in the meeting. The by-elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held in time. Significantly, by-elections are to be held in 26 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh.
