The Andhra Pradesh High Court convicted four active IAS officers and one retired IAS officer to various jail sentences for “wilful disobedience” of a court order issued in 2017. In 2017, Savitramma filed a writ case in the High Court, alleging that the tax officials had taken possession of her three-acre property and assigned it to the National Institute of Mental Health without providing her with any notice or compensation.
In 2017, Justice A Rajasheker Reddy of the High Court decided to favor the petitioner and ordered the revenue authorities to compensate her within three months. After the revenue authorities refused to comply with the court’s decision, Savitramma filed a contempt lawsuit in the High Court in 2018.

The court heard the respondents’ arguments in August and deferred his decision. The decision was made on Thursday. The judge rejected the allegation brought against the former chief land administrative officer Anil Chandra Punetha, the former joint collector from the SPS district of Nellore, Md Imtiyaz, the local tahsildar, and the adjutant of the NIMH.

The lawsuit against incumbent Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das was dropped since he was merely a party to the case. He held full extra responsibility for the Principal Finance Secretary job for a few days in February and March.
