Agra: Five people died after falling into a pit of a septic tank

Agra: Five people died after falling into a pit dug for a septic tank in Agra. The Chief Minister issued a directive to provide financial assistance of Rs 2-2 lakh to the family of the deceased who died in this accident that happened this evening.

According to the information, a 15-foot pit was dug for the septic tank of the toilet in Fatehabad’s village Pratappura, in which a child slipped and fell, then one by one four people jump in the pit to save it, but the poisonous gas in the pit was caused such a big accident. This sudden incident has caused a furore in the village. Teams have been sent from Agra for relief work.

According to the information received, the toilet pit was dug outside the house of Surendra son Kirori Lal, resident of village Pratappura in Fatehabad police station area. At around 4 pm on Tuesday evening, Surendra’s 10-year-old son Anurag was playing outside the house. Suddenly he slipped and fell into the pit, in order to save him, two other sons of Surendra, Harimohan and Avinash also jumped into him and he too fainted. It is reported that all the three fell into a state of unconsciousness due to the formation of gas in a pit about 15 feet deep. To save them, Surendra’s cousin Sonu, who lives in the neighborhood, jumped into the pit. Later, neighboring Yogesh Putra Ramkhiladi also landed in the pit. All five went into the pit and fainted. After hard work, the villagers reached the spot, took everyone out of the pit and took him for treatment. Where Yogesh 20, Sonu 25 years, Harimohan 16, Avinash 12, Anurag 10 sons Surendra died in Agra. As soon as the incident was known, MLA Jitendra Verma, SDM Sumit Singh, Tehsildar Seema Bharti, Inspector-in-Charge Fatehabad reached the spot.
