Jaipur: Five people died and one person sustained severe injuries in a road accident at Sadar in Tonk district of Rajasthan late Sunday night, the police said on Monday. The accident occurred when a speeding car rammed into two stationary trucks parked on the Jaipur-Kota National highway. Four of the five students sitting in the car died on the spot and the other sustained injuries.  

A guard sitting on a cot near the trucks also died, the police said. Four students have been identified as Roshan, Suraj, Shreyans, Abhishek and Mohammad Sadiq who were from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The injured student was rushed to a hospital in Jaipur. A case has been registered against the driver on behalf of the family members of the students and the guard. The post mortem will be conducted after the families arrive.
