New Delhi: Four people have been arrested for obstructing the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials who were raiding the official premises of the Waqf Board in connection with a corruption case, official sources said on Sunday.
The arrested people have been identified as Afsar, Anwar, Shakeel Ahmad and Sikander. The police arrested an MLA of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Amanatullah Khan’s close aide Hamid Ali under the Arms Act and lodged three separate FIRs against him.

According to deputy commissioner of police (Southeast) Esha Pandey, Ali was arrested after one illegal weapon and a few life cartridges were recovered from his house.
Similarly, a case was registered against Kaushar Immam Siddique alias Laddan after a country-made pistol and three life cartridges were found in his house. Siddique is absconding, the police said, adding that the third FIR was registered for preventing ACB officials from doing their duty. A video clip of the ACB officials being manhandled by Khan’s supporters went viral on social media on Sunday.
According to reports, when legislator Khan was working as chairman of Delhi Waqf Board illegally recruited 32 persons. Chief executive officer of Delhi Waqf Board, however, opposed the alleged illegal appointments. There are many other cases of irregularities against Khan.
