Rewa (MP): A 35-year-old man has raped a minor tribal girl for five days in Garh area of Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district, the police said on Tuesday. The incident took place last week. According to a police officer, the man abducted the girl from her home on the night of September 3 and kept her in a room of his house and raped her for five days.
Whenever the girl pleaded with the rapist to free her, he tortured her. The incident came to light when the family members of the girl lodged a missing person complaint at the local police station. On September 8, when the criminal was away from home, the girl somehow managed to escape from his home and related her woes to her parents who lodged a complaint at Garh police station.
The rapist was arrested on Monday, the police said, adding that the after a medical examination of the girl, it was confirmed that she had been raped. A case has been registered under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, the police further said..
