The more questions I asked, the more I understood that it is her ego of not able to live a carefree and independent life like how she lived before her marriage and her pride of being more educated and knowledgeable than her in-laws that were making her difficult to adjust with the new people in her life. Life is not easy, I told her but I stressed the fact that it doesn’t mean you make it more miserable with your reactions.
I encouraged her to try Yoga, meditation, and listening to spiritual wisdom talks to feel calmer from within and focus on her new journey in life rather than pinpointing the flaws of the people in her new house and criticizing and comparing her life with others.
