2) You need to carry valid photo identity documents in original that are required to enter the airport. You can carry any or all of these documents such as a Passport, voter’s identity card that has been issued by the Election Commission of India, Aadhaar card issued by UIDAI, PAN Card issued by the Income Tax department, Driving License issued by RTO, Service photo identity card, Student photo identity card, etc.

3) You can also carry documents like nationalized bank passbook with a photograph attested by the bank official, pension card, disability ID card, etc.

Nowadays, taking vaccination against coronavirus disease is quite important. So, if you are done with one or both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, you can carry the vaccination certificate in print and also electronic format. It is important that the documents are kept safely in a travel purse or bag dedicated to the same.

You can also check the flight website to know their specific requirements to fly for domestic travelers. During the coronavirus pandemic times, it is recommended by many flight companies to have an Aarogya Setu app downloaded by the flyer. The app keeps the report of the health condition so it is required to be produced when asked to show that you are fit for traveling to a different location. Along with the Aarogya Setu app, passengers have to also submit a health self-declaration form.

In India, different state governments have relaxed their curbs on traveling due to the COVID-19 outbreak and new-found variants to varying degrees. If you are entering another state altogether, ensure to check out the state’s rules such as wearing masks, testing and quarantine rules, and also proof of vaccination. If you are not vaccinated, then you have to be extremely cautious about your health and your interactions with others.

Face-to-face interactions should be quite less. Do not use washroom facilities for a longer time and also be seated during the entire time on the flight seat itself without moving here and there. Airlines may or may not serve you the meals during your domestic travel. Although water bottles will be available, you can still carry some water bottles with you considering the summer heat is too much to tolerate. Stay hydrated always and also make sure to carry your medicines (if any). Maintain social distancing as much as possible even if you find people not following the same rule as earlier.
