As you are at home, I am sure you would be getting a lot of free time than earlier. Obviously, you would want to read each and every news article that gets written or aired about the No. 1 trending thing in India right now and that is nothing but “Coronavirus”. The second wave of coronavirus is deadlier than the first one. We thought it’s all over when the year 2021 started but little did we realize that what we saw last year was just the trailer and what we are experiencing now and may see more in the coming months is the actual picture.
So, yes we have many reasons to feel sad. Like we can keep complaining that we are unable to meet our friends or we can say that our office work is getting affected or our finances are getting hit like anything or children can keep feeling low as they are confined in the four walls of the house and all this is happening due to the coronavirus lockdown/curfew/curbs or whatever you want to call it. But let me tell you that crying over what is happening will not be useful for creating a good future. Now you may ask what can I do sitting at home? You are right and it’s okay or I can say that it’s natural for you to feel the way you do. But you need to take the initial step to come out of your current situation.
And that initial step is nothing but a promise to yourself to stay happy and healthy no matter what. You may think about how can you be happy when thousands or lakhs or crores of people are suffering, but the fact is if you are happy, you make the world a happier and better place to live in.
Every day morning when you get up, just look at the mirror and smile. Thank God for giving you a new day in your life.
Take a walk inside your house for around 20 minutes every day in the morning. You can even watch your favorite videos of Yoga instructors or Dance masters to move your body to feel energetic.
Build a sleep routine. In case you have to work from home, just take small naps in the afternoon or evening to do your work with a fresh mind.
Eat food with lots of vitamins, carbohydrates that will help you feel good and improve your focus and energy.
Start a writing journal to record all that you feel in these tough times. Read what you write and just let the negative emotions go. Do not keep piling it up inside as it is not good for your health.
