Mental health is of utmost importance nowadays. For physical illnesses, there is are signs, symptoms, diagnosis and cure worldwide. But for mental health, the identification is itself at a messy stage.

As we all are enjoying the locked down phase in our lives due to coronavirus pandemic, staying at home can also affect mental health if not taken proper care. You can fall prey to loneliness, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and many other mental illnesses if you don’t analyze your daily life.

Here are some strategies for good mental well-being:
1) Do exercise at home. Physical activity or even for that matter, doing all household chores like dishing, washing, cooking, cleaning etc. do have good effects on the body and mind.

2) Good night’s sleep is a must. Avoid the negative information and gossips. Stay clean with what you eat – fresh vegetables and fruits for your body and positive thoughts for your mind.

3) Stay connected with your family and friends over the phone. Spending quality time with the people whom you enjoy talking to, should be done on regular basis, if not daily.

4) Creating a relaxing schedule like music, books, entertainment, meditation can reduce stress and keep you away from mental illnesses.
