Omicron, a novel coronavirus variant, has arrived. The covid-19 virus has been wreaking havoc on the planet since 2020, and despite immunisation, the infection continues to spread and claim lives. The first and second waves of the covid epidemic resulted in horrific deaths, individuals battling for oxygen, and widespread agony.

Many Indian states have already issued restrictions and partial lockdowns as the year 2022 approaches. As we enter a period of fear, it is critical to understand the precautionary actions that should be taken on a daily basis to keep ourselves safe.

Wear masks – Masks help to keep the virus from spreading by covering the nose and mouth. They also help to prevent the infection from spreading through body fluids. When we are outside, it is recommended that we wear masks or double masks at all times.

Make your hand virus free- Hand hygiene is important since our hands are susceptible to a wide range of pathogens. Hand hygiene should be practised at home and outdoors, according to medical professionals. When we are outside, we can keep a hand sanitizer with us at all times. To keep the virus at bay, it’s also a good idea to wash your hands frequently.

Social distancing- Stay away from busy places, whether indoors or out. As the number of people infected with covid increases, it’s more important than ever to keep a physical distance from others in order to keep the infection under control.

Vaccination – Most countries have already begun to distribute a vaccination to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. To boost the body’s immunity, it is recommended that you get double-vaccinated as soon as possible. Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on December 25 that the covid-19 precaution dose would be provided first to frontline covid warriors, healthcare professionals, and senior persons with co-morbidity.
