We are back to Pavillion. It seems we were playing the game of snake and ladder for a year now and we thought we are climbing up in the game, however, a snake (Read it as the second wave of coronavirus pandemic) bit us, making us fall back to start life from where we were in 2020. So, this is the case for many people be it any age group or geographic location of India.
If you are a businessman or a office-goer, you very well know how you were struggling to find time to spend with your family members in the pre-coronavirus period because we were racing against time to meet our targets and achieve our goals. As of now, you are home, so let me share with you some amazing ideas to enjoy with your family.
1) Play Antakshari together. Remember the olden days of our childhood when we all cousins and friends used to sings songs of old movies to just win the game of Antakshari in family gatherings or weddings? Why not re-introduce the game to your family members now and encourage them to voice their songs and also recollect all olden and golden memories of your life.
2) Prepare a menu for the week and assign each one to cook one dish every day. So, we have been raised up in our family thinking that cooking is always a woman’s task, be it a working woman, housewife, mother, sister, daughter. So, let us break those stereotypes this lockdown, and encourage each family member to enter the kitchen and become a Chef for a day. You can check out videos of these Indian chefs on YouTube of your favorite dishes and also put up your thinking brains to come up with some delicious items for the family. Remember a family who eats together, stays together.
3) Watch movies or series together. So, understanding that you would definitely have your office or study commitments, it is obvious that you cannot dedicate time every day but yes, you can definitely keep a day off from your work and watch a movie or series together with your family members. Make sure that the movie is family-type and that with encourages good values and positive thinking in everyone. Stay away from rona-dhona and tragic movies because what is going outside is nothing less than that.
So be at home, enjoy your time with family, respect each other’s point of view but make sure to keep your voice always so that no one’s feelings and lifestyle is compromised and everyone lives happily together.
