Taare Zameen Par: Accept children as they are

You might have heard about the movie or song titled Taare Zameen Par? In the film and the song, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan advocates for people to accept children as they are and allow them to develop careers in the field of their interest and not force them to get into conventional careers. A career holds a lot of value in a person’s life, after all, it not just pays the bills but it is also something that a person does for years and his occupation is where he spends most of his time of the day like around 9 to 12 hours for 5 to 6 days a week.

Covid 3rd Wave to Peak in October, Affect Children More: Government Data

In the movie, children are considered to be the stars who are already born with talent. It doesn’t discriminate against children based on disability or flaws but in fact, empowers children’s differences as their identity and helps them to work towards what they are passionate about in life along with following the mainstream education.

The education sector cannot be changed overnight and it is a gradual process of getting up-gradation with how things are actually working in reality. So, children’s parents are expected to understand that they should not force their children to just get more marks so that they can get admission to a good college and grab a high-paying job in the long run.

If a child is mentally weak, please don’t disturb him by saying the same thing over and again. Instead, help him learn the basics well so that he can improve from his own past achievements. Never compare one with another. Every child is unique and we should develop an inclusive society where every individual has a right to speak their mind without hurting others and doing the right thing for their career and life’s progress.
