The eighth day of Navratri festival is celebrated on 24 October 2020. It falls on the Maha Ashtami Tithi. The festival observes the worship of Goddess Mahagauri who is the eighth form of NavaDurga.
Goddess Mahagauri is believed to be extremely beautiful and glowing brightly. Hence, her name Gauri and the goddess gives a message of peace and purity to the world.
Praying to Goddess Mahagauri is like getting relief from all the problems and difficulties in life as the goddess makes the hearts of her devotees pure.
Mantra of Goddess Mahagauri Puja:
Mantra: Om Devi Mahagauryai Namah.
Prarthana: Shwete Vrishesamarudha Shwetambaradhara Shuchih,
Mahagauri Shubham Dadyanmahadeva Pramodada.
Stuti: Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu Maa Mahagauri Rupena Samsthita,
Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah.
