I know we recently celebrated 75 years of independence of India from British rule. It is really a good feeling to live in a democratic country where you can express yourself, live life as per your thinking while also following the rules and regulations prescribed by the government from time to time. We as a society are traditional, religious, and also modern. Like there is no one way that Indian society functions and it is a mix and match of different people with different ways of looking at happiness and peace.

Some people get peace when they go to temples while some people consider their work as God and they get peace when doing their regular work, while some people get peace if they break stereotypes and myths of the Indian society. We cannot standardize anything ever and the society will keep evolving and growing as per people’s thinking and perception which will be challenged time and again with new beliefs and systems.

In this whole chaotic life, if there is one relation that will live stable and lifelong with us, it is none that we ourselves. The relationship that a person has with him/herself is a lifelong commitment and it cannot be broken by any third party irrespective of how the situation is. Then why not embrace self-love and be a changing agent in a society that is full of fights about rights, duties, exploitation, domestic violence, etc.
We need not be a victim of situations and people around us anymore. If we like to do something for our inner peace and that thing will not harm ourselves and others, then why not go ahead with it? Who is stopping us and if anyone or anything is really stopping us then are we still entangled with it? Why not invest the majority of our time in self-love, self-care and make our own world of peace and happiness so that others can take inspiration from the same and also make this world a good place to live in?
