Myths about Sex that you really need to check out

Many people say many things about sex that may or may not be true or factual. Here are some myths that we would like to break for you and get you in touch with reality.

Does Your Weight Affect Your Sexual Performance?

Statement: Actual sex is similar to pornography

This is absolutely false. People who work in the pornography sector and produce films, clips, or short videos or photographs are paid for doing a job and they do whatever they do to please you, entertain you, and even arouse you to have real-life sex. Many times what we see on porn videos and photographs is not something that happens with couples having sex in real life. Also, the way porn stars dress and portray their feelings on the camera is not how it happens in reality as well. So, don’t get confused if your girlfriend or partner doesn’t respond to your foreplay the way porn stars do.

Porn film racket case: SC relief for Raj Kundra, grants him protection from arrest

Statement: Sex is for one and all and everyone does sex

This is utter rubbish. The choice to have sex or not is completely on the individual and there is no hard and fast rule that if you are born and attain a particular age, you need to indulge in sex. Having sex or not is totally a person’s choice and even if a person has done it once or before, it doesn’t mean he or she wants to do sex throughout their life. If one is not mentally and physically ready, then no one should force them. Some may feel like having sex only after meeting someone with whom they can trust and are comfortable with. Even after marriage or getting into a long-term relationship, people avoid doing sex due to reasons best known to them and there is no one rule that is for all in this world, including for sex.

Statement: Boys need not worry as only girls should take the pill after sex

To do sex or not, is totally a joint decision by both the partners. If you are a man who thinks it is only the duty of your woman to take the pill or any other form of contraception to avoid getting pregnant, it is morally wrong. You can also wear a condom to get protection from a sexually transmitted infection (STI). You need to take the corrective measures that both of you agree on to have a good sex life. Women shouldn’t also force men to wear condoms if they are not comfortable with the idea. You both should agree on the protection that you both are okay with.

Statement: Your woman can’t get pregnant if you have sex during bath

Well, this is another myth that makes understanding sex a lot more difficult. At any point in time, if you have unprotected sex, you are having a greater risk of getting pregnant. Even if your woman had sex with you in a bath or while standing up or you both had sexual intercourse for the first time without any protection, there are chances that she may get pregnant.
