Varanasi- City of Ghats
Varanasi is the best spot to visit during this festive season because it has many Shiva temples where Shivaratri is celebrated with great reverence. Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Dashashwamedh Ghats, and Sankar Mochan Hanuman Temple are some of the most well-known temples in this place. Haridwar- Har ki Pauri

Puri
The Maha Shivaratri event at Sri Lokanath Temple in Puri is well-known and draws a large crowd. The lingam, which is kept immersed in a vat of water throughout the year, is the showpiece of this location. This lingam is only seen on Pankodhar Ekadasi, the day before Shivaratri, when the water in the vat is emptied. Many devotees regard this as a unique opportunity to have live darshan from the lingam.
