No more colonial-era Khalasi system at Railways

The Railways has decided to end the colonial-era rule of appointing khalasis or ”bungalow peons” who served at the houses of senior officials.

Thus, the Railway Board is no more going to make any new appointments in this category, as released by the order.

Also, the Board shared how it is reviewing the issue of telephone attendant-cum-dak khalasis (TADKs).

Thus, you will no longer find any railway senior official having any helper paid by the Railways.

Due to the current economic scenario, government and private establishments have been removing a lot of jobs and cutting down their expenses in order to sustain and survive.
