The season of allergies or sickness is back. Oh, it is called monsoon or rainy season and many many people actually don’t like this season as it makes them feel tired, dull, and also vulnerable to different types of illnesses. For some, the monsoon is a very refreshing season as it brings fresh air and helps them get a break from the scorching heat but there are many who fall sick easily during the monsoon season and hence, here are some tips to protect yourself from the negative effects of rains on your health.

1) Consume bitter foods like a gourd, neem seeds, herbal teas as it helps to remove the toxins from your body and also gives you the required calcium, vitamins to boost your immunity levels and keep you strong.

2) Drink homemade fruit juices of apple and orange as they are the healthiest beverages and helps you stay away from malaria and diarrhea which are quite common in the rainy season.

3) Take hot shower baths in the morning as it will help you protect yourself from the cold that the rains bring in the air along with many other risk factors for diseases.

4) Stick to eat small meals throughout the day. Avoid excess consumption of any food as the season doesn’t allow good digestion and thus, one can eat garlic, onions, pepper, coriander to avoid bloating, acidity, indigestion.

5) Avoid street food completely. Do not think how you will survive without those vadapavs and chaats, just make them at home by watching youtube videos as outside food increases the risk of many illnesses be it any season.

6) Stay in touch with your family doctor. If you find any minor symptoms, it is always good to call your family doctor and discuss your issues immediately than waiting for many days and making your illness complicated. The doctor will suggest good home remedies if they get to know the symptoms in the earliest stage and thus, you can get it treated well in advance.
