Today I cleaned up my shelf that had loads of old papers, which are not relevant in today’s times. We are transitioning to a digital era that demands paperless work rather than files and keeping of papers. So, as per the changing times, I thought I should get rid of the old papers so that I can create a new place on the shelf to add something new that may or may not come to me, like gifts, or books, etc.

While I was tearing off all the old papers that are of no use to me, I was realizing that our brains store so much information of the past hurts that we don’t tear them apart even if it doesn’t allow us to take new decisions and find new ways of living our life. I was understanding just like how we throw out the old stuff to create space for the new, why can’t we throw all the old negative memories that no longer serve us and our lives?

I was wondering why people get stuck in the jealousy and hatred of their past relations that are no longer adding value to their lives? Why is it so that we want to get rid of old things but we are unable to overcome the old thinking patterns that have kept us living in the past for so long? We embrace technology, we date online, we upload pictures on social media but when it comes to our thoughts and feelings, we have just not redesigned the same and have been doing the same again and again for so long.
What it takes to be successful is the only “can do” mindset of a person who believed in himself and went ahead. Let go of the old orthodox traditional self that is holding you back to live happily and forgive and forget the past hurts to move on and start a new page in your life.
