Last Sunday night in Hollywood, an amazing function 69th edition of the Miss Universe contest was organized at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Although the event was a low-key affair due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Miss Universe title went to the stunning Andrea Meza who defeated contestants from 74 participating countries. From India, Adline Castelino who had earlier won LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020 title got ranked fourth in the beauty contest.
Let us take an interesting sneak-peek of the beautiful diva Adline Castelino who made India proud with her position in the prestigious contest.
1) Adline was born and brought up in Kuwait. She moved to India when she was only 15 years old as she had to take up a job for a living and become a financially independent woman.
2) Adline was born in a Mangalorean Catholic family whose parents belonged to Karnataka.
3) Currently, 22 years old Adline is well-known fashion influence and a public figure.
4) She supports various social causes and also spread awareness about the PCOS – polycystic ovary syndrome and myths and stereotypes related to coronavirus disease.
5) Adline had shared to a media portal that when she came to Mumbai for work purpose, she was quite shy by nature and wasn’t aware how she will work ahead with marks on her body to represent the country in beauty contests.

6) In the recent Miss Universe contest, Adline was asked a question in the Q&A round and her answer was quite appreciated by many. The question reads: “Should countries lockdown due to COVID-19 despite the strain on their economies, or should they open their borders and risk a potential increase in infection rates?”
Adline replied to the question, “Good evening universe. Well, coming from India and witnessing what India is experiencing right now, I have realized something very important that nothing is more important than the health of your loved ones. And you have to draw a balance between economy and health. And that can only be done when the government works with the people hand in hand and produces something that will work with the economy. Thank you.”
