To lie on the mother’s lap is like seeing heaven, say many. It is indeed true that a mother who has seen it all and done it all for her children is sent by God as Angels who protect her children. In order to see heaven or even believe in the concept of the same, you don’t need books or proof really. You can simply look at your mother’s eyes that cry for you when you are sad, becomes excited when you are happy and when you are progressing in your life, she feels that all that she had lost, sacrificed, took defeats, had to tolerate the insults and all the taunts in her life, has got its due through YOU. As today is Mother’s Day, we will take an inspiring example of a woman who works for 12 hours a day but keeps her small child with her just so that she is protected and safe.
You will be amazed to know that woman police constable Vandana Maurya does her duty by carrying her seven-month-old daughter near Hazratganj crossing in Lucknow. Isn’t it surprising to note how Vandana leaves her home at 8 am with her small daughter and starts her duty at 9 am? Till 9 pm, she keeps doing her duty at Hazratganj along with caring for her young child.
When Vandana was contacted by the team at BuzinessBytes, she shared that she has two daughters. Her elder daughter is 5 years old and her young daughter is just six months old. Vandana shared how after taking maternity leave for six months, she joined her duty in April 2022. She stressed the importance of feeding her child as it is important for the child’s health. As the newborn is just a few months, Vandana doesn’t feel like leaving the child at home but taking care of her while she also gives her performance at her job.
Earlier, Vandana had kept her small child at her home but without feeding her, Vandana used to feel restless. Also, when her husband used to call her to inform her about her baby’s crying, Vandana used to feel sad to have left her at home. Vandana had even carried her elder daughter till she was two years old to her workplace.
Hailing from Pratapgarh, Vandana had the ambition to work for the policeforce since her childhood. Having gotten the required support from her parents to choose such a selfless career, she got a job in the policeforce in 2011. In 2015, she got married and started living in Raebareli. Vandana is immensely satisfied to enjoy her marital bliss and having supportive and understanding in-laws. She also makes sure to fulfill her marital and family responsibilities along with the duties towards her job. She ensures to never give up on her duties towards her children especially after embracing motherhood. She spends quality time with her children and gives a beautiful message to the society that being a mother is a beautiful feeling that keeps the journey of life going well.
