Today, 6 August 2020, marks the first death anniversary of former Indian politician and Supreme Court lawyer Sushma Swaraj.
Sushmaji was the senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and worked as the Minister of External Affairs of India in the first term of Narendra Modi government (2014–2019).
Sushmaji was the youngest cabinet minister of Haryana at her age of 25.
She was also the First female Chief Minister of Delhi in one phase of her political journey.
Sushmaji was renowned for being the most-loved politician by many media houses.
Sushmaji was recovering from a kidney transplant and other health issues and thus, she decided to not be a part of the second term of Modi government in 2019.
She died by cardiac arrest and a heart attack on the night of 6 August 2019.
She was given the Padma Vibhushan in 2020 for her amazing work to the country.
You will be amazed to know that she had a bachelor’s degree with majors in Sanskrit and Political Science and studied law at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
