How to overcome sedentary lifestyle this lockdown

Now lockdown restrictions are easing up in many parts of the country and probably you may be asked by your office to resume at the workplace to do your daily office work. However, if that is not the case and you are going to work from home for the rest of the year, then you need to surely now start taking your health into your hands. A sedentary lifestyle has shown to be increasing at a higher rate due to work from home and no other activities of walking or jogging or yoga due to lack of time. You need to break the chain of your sit-on-the-couch for office work and go-to-bed for sleeping right now so that you don’t face any future problems related to health.

1) You need to get up once every one hour and take a walk to your kitchen to drink water or to your living room to see what is happening in your house. Now if that may affect some people’s privacy then take around in your bedroom or the room where you have set up your office work.

2) You need to put off your screen time from both laptops, mobile, and television so that it doesn’t affect your brain in the long run and that break from the screentime helps you think some creative things that you would like to do during weekends. Please avoid replying to even messages on WhatsApp or social media during your time off from the screens.

3) You can listen to songs in the background like the soothing and calming ones to ensure that you are focused on your work when you are doing the office work. But remaining time, you can be cool and keep walking and counting your steps of walking on any step-counting app. It will help you get a report of how physically active you were through the day and what efforts you can take to increase more physical activities from home.
