So, we are celebrating Holi on the 28th and 29th of March 2021, however, the celebration won’t be as grand as it used to be before coronavirus times. We will be as far as possible playing with the festival of colors at home and with near and dear ones only due to the coronavirus pandemic situation.
Holi is also called the festival of love, the festival of colors, the festival of spring, and in regional languages, it is also known as Rangwali Holi, Dol Purnima, Dhuleti, Dhulandi, Ukuli, Manjal Kuli, Yaosang, Shigmo, or Phagwah. The festival is also known to make people forget all the past bad memories and create a new future by practicing forgiveness and kindness. It helps to repair broken relationships and find a new hope and positive energy to lead our lives in the best way possible. Many legendary stories are also associated with the festival with reference from Vishnu Puran and Shiv Puran.
Since lots of things are going around us, with the coronavirus cases increasing every day like anything, the government has tried to control the virus spread by imposing certain restrictions all over the country. Yes, we are not able to lead lives like the way we used to do earlier, but can we look at a new way of living and embrace the same? Holi is said to bring that new energy in lives wherein goodness always wins over what is bad or evil. So, how is this concept relevant in today’s times? Just be and do good and forget what happened in the past, why it happened so etc. A lot of us keep a lot of emotional baggage that makes us become egoistic and pessimist in life. So, can we try to burn those negative energies during this two-day festival of Holi and cherish a new life and a new future that promises to bring lots of possibilities for us? Let’s now stop looking at the closed door (it can be related to your lost job or failed relationship) and instead look around and find out which door has been already opened to you by God.
This Holi, pray to God and promise yourself to walk on your right path fearlessly and with full new enthusiasm and never give up for what you think is right or is your true calling.
