The bhang plant was discovered in the Himalayas and is listed as one of the five sacred plants in the Vedas. It has a negative reputation due to its use as an intoxicant over the years, and the focus on its medical benefits has been lost.

The plant is used to treat digestive problems, headaches, pains, and anxiety. It is also thought to help with nerve pain, arthritis pain, insomnia, and piles.

It has the capacity of the gut to absorb nutrients. It is often used in Ayurveda for IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), diarrhoea, dysentery, and anxiety relief. Some of its hidden benefits are listed here:

Excellent treatment for insomnia

Bhang was often used to produce good sleep, especially for those who were exhausted, apprehensive, or afraid for whatever reason to be able to sleep correctly, with poppy seeds and other ingredients.

Beneficial in Piles

In Ayurveda, piles are a very complicated problem. When this happens, something called Sama Pitta increases, which is linked to your gut function. Because it is a pain reliever, it is also used externally. People who suffer from excruciating piles benefit from its use as bhang paste.

Relief in whooping cough

Bhang, or hemp, is also a good bronchospasm reliever, which means it can help you get rid of coughs and other whooping coughs that are bothersome.
