Diwali is a festival that removes darkness from our lives and help us lead bright lives.
Every year, the festival of Lights, comes with a message that no matter howmuchever struggles we have had faced in the year, Diwali will wash away all the problems from our lives and awaken our inner strength to face every new day with a fresh perspective.
Diwali also has significance in mythology as it is on this day that Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman to celebrate his victory over the demon king Ravana and also marking the completion of his 14 years of vanvaas.
Lord Rama set an example to the world that he lived by his ideals of family values and also served the people with his best of abilities. Thus, he then went on to become a great king in northern India.
