Dhanteras, also known as Dhanatrayodashi is celebrated on 13 November 2020.

It is the first day of the major Indian festival Diwali. On this special day, God Dhanvantari is worshipped and said to be the God of Ayurveda or the Vaidya of Gods, who gave many good information of Ayurveda for the betterment of humanity and remove illnesses.

Dhanteras is observed by performing Lakshmi Puja in the evenings by lighting up Diyas. Bhajas, devotional songs in appreciation of Goddess Lakshmi are sung and prasad is made to offer as neivedhya to Goddess.
