Bhai Duj or Bhaiya Dooj (Bhaubeej) is considered to be the final day of Diwali festival celebrations. The day celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters. It is a festival similar to Raksha Bandhan which occurs in August every year. However, in this festival, sisters do a ritual that is specially designed for brothers and ask God for their protection and in return, brothers provide gifts to their sisters.

The festival is also called Bhai Tika and Bhai Phonta and is observed on the second lunar day of Shukla Paksha in the Vikram Samvat Hindu calendar or of Shalivahan Shaka calendar month of Kartika. This year it is on November 6, 2021 (Saturday) Dwitiya.
