Eco-friendly and masked Ganesha idols to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi 2020

The auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is nearing. This year as we are living in coronavirus times, the grand celebrations won’t take place.

Yes, due to government orders that we need to keep Ganesha festival as private and a low-key affair to stop the spread of coronavirus.

However, Indore’s Lok Sanskriti Manch, supported by MP Shankar Lalwani has given a hope even in this difficult times.

Corona Ganesh, Masked Ganesha, Tricolour Ganesh have been launched as an initiative to create eco-friendly Ganesha idols for the upcoming festival.

Lok Sanskriti Manch imparted training to women to make Ganesha idols from soil and cow-dung after Prime Minister during his Mann Ki Baat address encouraged for eco-friendly celebrations.

The 10-day festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will begin on 22 August 2020 and end on 2 September 2020.
