Last year, when the coronavirus pandemic had stuck our lives, I was left with nothing but HOPE. Distraught at the way things turned out to be in everyone’s lives, my focus was to keep reading positivity books and have an optimistic mindset. However, the reality was gloomy and the bad news was being spread everywhere like anything. But the attempts of humans were not less as people were all the way in all the sectors trying to recover from the losses and see the brighter side of life.

No wonder being at home, we were entertained with all the drama and fun in the form of new TV serials, new movies, new OTT shows, etc. We were all there seeing those interesting bits of content on the internet and television trying to heal from the pain. Emotional loss and financial loss were huge for many, which they cannot even imagine. But having a good headspace was required the most for several. That’s when I decided to take the plunge and work for the betterment of humanity through whatever I can.

So, I decided to feed one homeless or needy person a day for a maximum of days in a month. I decided to clean my home and give away all the used stuff to the needy and poor so that they can breathe. I decided to have a simple lifestyle with a minimalistic attitude. Nothing bulk and nothing more. Only important stuff kept in the house and even my mailbox. You won’t believe but I have only 35 important emails in my mailbox.
I decided to step up in my career by becoming a freelance writer with a positive attitude that I will always get some work in the form of clients. The more I keep myself engaged with work, the more I understand that all these small efforts go a long way in making a good life as a journey of a thousand miles always starts with a single step.
