Shefali Shah said that at the age of 20, she played the role of mother for the first time. They were typecast long ago. She had not even reached the age of becoming a mother. In the film Hasraten, she played the role of a middle age mother.
In an interview, Shefali Shah has said that I was typecast in the role of mother very early in my life. She further says that I had not even reached that age. I did a show in which I was just 20 years old and I played the mother of a 15-year-old boy.
Shefali also said that I was 28 to 30 years old when I played Akshay Kumar’s mother. According to that screen time, I would have been 133 years old. I then became typecast quite early in my career.
Shefali also said that for many years I kept saying no to work because it was not all fair. A beautiful love story came and then came Delhi Crime. All these projects brought me to the beach point. Now I am doing the work that I really like.
