Hollywood actor Johnny Depp was asked to exit from the Fantastic Beasts movie franchise.
This is days after Johnny lost a libel case in Britain against a report that called him a “wife beater.”
Sharing on Instagram, the A-list actor said that AT&T Inc’s Warner Bros movie studio had requested him to leave his character of villain Gellert Grindelwald from the Fantastic Beasts movie franchise.
To which, the actor said, “I have respected and agreed to that request.”
Warner Bros said that Johnny’s role will be recast and he will depart from the movie franchis.
It was just recently when the actor had resumed production on the third film in the spinoff from “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling.
The production house said that the release date of the film had been moved to summer 2022 from November 2021.
57 years old Johnny however, didn’t get disappointment but instead plans to appeal the London libel judgment. He wrote on social media that his “life and career will not be defined by this moment.”
The star had taken action against the publishers of the Sun newspaper after it carried a report stating that Johnny had been violent toward former wife Amber Heard.
