HBO, WB movie channels to be discontinued in India

Are you fond of watching English film channels HBO and WB? Then, here is a sad news for you.

The famous English film channels HBO and WB will be no longer available in India after 15 December 2020.

The largest entertainment company WarnerMedia International has taken the decision to discontinue these channels in India and other South Asian countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh and Maldives from 15 December.

The move has come after there has been a rise in the viewership of OTT platforms for accessing English content during the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, the company has plans to come up with its own streaming platform called HBO Max soon.

The company aims to continue its operations and raise investments for its renowned kids channels such as Cartoon Network and POGO in the South Asian countries.
