In a recent report, television actress Sejal Sharma has committed suicide due to personal reasons. The 25-year-old actress, known for her acting work in television serial Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, took the extreme step of ending her life in her rented flat in Mira Road. Few weeks back, 37-year-old television actor Kushal Punjabi also committed suicide due to personal life problems.
With talented actors committed suicide, where is the world headed to? These actors had it all – fame and money, which every youngster dreams of in the initial stage of starting his career. But did their mental health take a backseat? If such good-looking and young people of India start ending their life, then what’s going to happen in future?
I strongly feel that mental health experts should come out in the open and create more awareness to talk about what is bothering, whether it is stress / anxiety / depression / any mental health disorder. The more the people are aware about what issues they have, the more they can discuss within their family or friend circle or health officials to resolve the issues in the initial stage rather than taking such extreme steps.
In today’s changing times, mental health is as important as physical health and care should be taken by all – be it a common man or a celebrity!
