Like every year, this year is no different when it comes to pollution levels in northern parts of India. Taking strict actions against the increasing pollution in the capital city of Delhi NCR, all Noida and Greater Noida schools have been asked to close schools and conduct classes online till November 8 in anticipation of the pollution subsiding.

Official orders by the Government have been issued to all schools in Noida and Greater Noida and to Delhi schools for primary class students considering the age and sensitivity to breathing that the hazardous pollution can cause.

As per a response from officer Dharmveer Singh, the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) of Gautam Buddha Nagar, while the primary school students are being totally exempted from classes, the students of class 9 till class 12th have been instructed to conduct classes online till the problem subsides.

In order to protect students from smog and bad air, the orders also state that outdoor activities like sports and meetings will remain banned in all schools.

It is a good step by the government as all the areas of Delhi and NCR region are facing severe issues and online classes will certainly help students study at the comfort of their homes preventing them from serious illnesses.
