More than 19k new covid cases reported in past 24 hrs
New Delhi: As many as 19,893 new covid-19 cases have been reported from different parts of the country in the past 24, sources said. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the country’s active caseload has gone up to 1, 36, 478, which is 0.31% of the country’s total positive cases. Nevertheless, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.50% and nearly 20, 419 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours. The health ministry also said that as many as 4, 03, 006 covid-19 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours. As many as 205.22 crore vaccine doses have, so far, been administered.
More than 3.92 crore children, aged from 12 to 14 years, have been given the shots. The vaccination drive for this group began on March 16 this year.

Similarly, the COVID-19 precaution dose administration for the age group 18-59 years also started from 10 April 2022 onwards. The Central Government has also provided 196.64 crore vaccine doses to various states and Union territories free of cost. Although the cases of covid-19 are increasing, the people have thrown all caution to winds.
