'If early detection done, breast cancer is undone'

Meerut: If detected early, breast cancer has an answer. Fujifilm India Private Limited, a pioneer in diagnostic imaging and information system for healthcare facilities, has come up with it. The organisation has organised an event to raise awareness about early detection of breast cancer in partnership with Dr OP Gupta Imaging Centre, Meerut.
Fujifilm India Pvt Ltd, together with the Centre, has installed a highly advanced breast cancer diagnostic tool, Amulet Innovality. The tool helps a woman detect breast cancer early.
The company held a seminar on the main problems and potential solutions in digital mammography breast imaging, highlighting the clinical relevance of technology, to raise awareness about the cause. Because of changing lifestyle and the environment, the number of breast cancer patients in India is rising. In terms of breast cancer cases, India is on the sixth position among its counterparts in Asia. And it is on the tenth position in the world in terms of breast cancer cases. One out of 22 woman suffers from breast cancer at some point in their lifetime.
Although the scientists across the world have developed various advanced methods to tackle the disease, the risk associated with continues. One of the main reasons for it is the lack of awareness. Many women go to a doctor only when the situation goes out of control. Fujifilm has decided to educate people about the disease so that it can be diagnosed early. And once that is done, breast cancer is undone.

Mammograms won’t find every cancer, but they can help find breast cancer at an early stage. This can lead to early treatment, a range of treatment options, and better chances of survival. According to a report by WHO, mammograms have been shown to reduce breast cancer mortality by around 20% in women by early detection.”
