According to sources in the health department, the number of active cases has shot up from 289 on May 24 to 306 on May 26. Similarly, from 136 cases on March 31, there are more than 306 active cases. The hospitals in different areas in the state have, however, examined only 7,325 cases; whereas patients from the disease were reported from 16 of the 52 districts.
The capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, has registered eight cases. The situation is barely as grim as it was in first and second waves of the pandemic. Yet, the doctors in Bhopal and Indore have advised the residents not to drop their guard against the disease, as the country cannot afford to wave another wave of covid-19.
