Students brought from China to be housed on an army compound in Manesar
Two weeks will be in a special campus of 600 beds in view of the outbreak of corona virus, a special monitoring complex has been set up at Manesar in Haryana to keep about 300 Indian students being brought from China’s Hubei province. At this place, the students will be kept under the supervision of the team to support the doctors and them.
The students will remain on the campus for two weeks. The Indian Army has built this complex. In addition, Indo-Tibetan Border Police is also building a special monitoring complex of 600 beds in Delhi. A flight of Air India has been sent to Wuhan on Friday to bring back stranded Indian students in Hubei province. Which is expected to reach India at 2 pm on Saturday. An official said, there will be two phases in the process of screening and monitoring them in a separate campus.
The first test will be conducted at Indira Gandhi International Airport and the second at Manesar. He said, “If a person is suspected to be infected, he will be shifted to a separate ward in the base hospital Delhi Cantonment.” The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the coronavirus that has spread to 21 countries in the world as a global health emergency. The WHO’s emergency committee held a meeting in this regard on Thursday. The committee said that the virus can be prevented from spreading further if strong measures are taken.
