New Delhi: The nurse union of AIIMS New Delhi on Monday announced to begin an indefinite strike accusing the hospital administration of not fulfilling their demands.
As soon as the nurses announced the strike, AIIMS director Dr Randeep Guleria released a video message wherein he reminded the nurses of their duty in the COVID period referring to the dedication of Florence Nightingale the founder of modern nursing.
Dr Guleria also appealed to the nursing union not to go on a strike.
Meanwhile, the AIIMS nurses union began with their indefinite strike from today.
The union said that the notice regarding the strike was given on Sunday, however, the administration did not take any step towards it
The union said that during the meeting held on October 16 with the Union Health Minister, he had agreed to the demands related to six CPC.
Despite the minister agreeing to this, the AIIMS administration did not take notice of the irregularity in implementing the same and and rather gave false assurance saying this demand can be considered in the form of a new demand.
