New Delhi: Nearly 6, 809 covid-19 cases were reported, according to date released by the Union Health Ministry on Monday. The total cases shot up to 4, 44, 56, 535, but the active cases declined to 55,114. The number of people losing their lives in the disease shot up to 5, 27, 991 including 26 facilities in Kerala. Active cases comprised 0.12% of the total infections. The national covic-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.69%.
In Madhya Pradesh, 46 new cases were reported, but only 6, 541 samples were tested in the state. Nobody died of covid-19 in the past 48 hours in the state, sources in the state health department said. New cases were reported from 12 of the 52 districts in the state. Eighteen new cases were reported from Bhopal and ten from Indore. In Tamil Nadu, 12.28 lakh people were vaccinated against the coronavirus.
