Meerut: Javelin throw champion Annu Rani will hoist the flag of Meerut in the Olympics, this daughter of Meerut’s Bahadarpur village has been selected for the Tokyo Olympics on the basis of the World Athlete Ranking System. Despite financial problems, Annu Rani finally got the reward of her hard work in a 12-year sports career and got an Olympic ticket. Annu had recently set a national record by throwing 63.24m javelin.
