We want a national plan to deal with the disaster, Supreme Court sent notice to Center

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has expressed concern on the condition of Corona in the country on Thursday. The Chief Justice of the apex court said that the situation has become like national emergency due to Covid in the country. The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the corona in the country. The court has taken automatic cognizance on four issues, including the supply of oxygen and the issue of vaccine. CJI SA Bobde has issued notice to the Center on this.

The CJI said that ‘we want a national plan to deal with the disaster’. The Supreme Court said, ‘6 high courts are hearing these issues. We will see whether to keep the issues with us. The court said that states should have the right to impose lockdown.

The Supreme Court has said that it will consider the supply of oxygen, the supply of essential medicines, the method and procedure of applying the vaccine and the issue of lockdown.

The Supreme Court said on the hearings being held in different states on the issue that ‘Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Bombay, Calcutta, Sikkim and Allahabad are hearing the High Court case, although they are hearing for good interest, but This is causing confusion and resources are diverting.

The Supreme Court’s comments came on Thursday when Vedanta was hearing a petition filed by the company seeking permission to open its plant to produce oxygen. Tamil Nadu wanted a hearing on the petition yesterday, but the Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of several issues on the situation of Covid and said that the situation in the country has become like a national emergency.
