Lucknow: The State Law Commission of Uttar Pradesh has prepared the draft of UP Population Bill 2021. Soon the commission will hand it over to the state government after finalizing it. In this draft, legal measures have been suggested for population control in UP.
According to this draft, there is a proposal to ban people from applying in government jobs to contesting local body elections if there are more than 2 children.
The Law Commission has uploaded its draft on the official website and by July 19, public opinion has been sought. This draft has been introduced at a time when the Yogi government is going to issue a new population policy on July 11.
According to the commission, there is no government order to prepare this draft. This draft has been prepared by the commission on its own inspiration.
In such a situation, if this act is implemented, then there will be no chance of application and promotion in government jobs for producing more than two children. There is also a provision to be deprived of 77 government schemes and grants.

If this is implemented, then within a year all government officials, employees, elected representatives of the local body will have to give an affidavit that they will not violate it. He has only two children at the time of the law coming into force and if he produces a third child after giving the affidavit, then there will be a proposal to cancel the election of the representative and not to contest the election. There is a recommendation for promotion and even dismissal of government employees.
If the parents of the family are in government jobs and undergo sterilization, then it has been recommended to give them many facilities like additional increment, promotion, exemption in government housing schemes, increasing the employer contribution in PF.
If a couple with two children are not in government jobs, then it is proposed to give them water, electricity, house tax, exemption in home loan and other facilities. At the same time, it is recommended to give priority to the parents who self-sterilize a child for 20 years in free treatment, education, insurance, educational institutions and government jobs.
