Lucknow: BJP has won a bumper victory in the Uttar Pradesh Block Pramukh elections. The results of all 825 seats have been declared. 626 candidates of BJP+ waved the flag of victory, while Samajwadi Party+ has won 98, Congress 5 and other 96 candidates.
In the election battle of the block chief, there was a close fight between the BJP and the SP. Both the parties won 3-3 seats. BJP won 11 out of 16 seats in Ghazipur. SP won four seats. Independent candidate won a block chief seat.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has broken into the stronghold of the Samajwadi Party . In the election of Block Pramukh , Bharatiya Janata Party won 7 seats and independent candidates won 2 seats. Whereas the Samajwadi Party wiped out in its own stronghold.
There are 9 blocks in Firozabad district, in which BJP’s candidates were elected unopposed in 3 blocks Etah, Tundla and Narkhi blocks, but in 6 blocks today, the posts of 4 block chiefs came in BJP’s bag. Independents have won two, while the Samajwadi Party has not got a single seat.
In Firozabad block, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Yadav got 59 votes and won. While his rival Inderpal Singh Gurjar (SP) got 49 votes. The Block Pramukh’s fight in Jasrana block became a matter of nose for the local BJP leaders.
In Shikohabad block, Kumari Priya Yadav of Bharatiya Janata Party got 51 votes and Samajwadi Party supported Ruby Yadav got 37 votes. In this way Priya Yadav was victorious. BJP candidate Kamlesh Rajput won from Arao block. Similarly, independent Pushpa Devi wife Naresh Chand got 62 votes from Madanpur block and won. Independent Sarla Devi wife Samar Singh got 20 votes and came second.
However, in the election of block chief held in Firozabad, Samajwadi Party MLC Dr Dilip Yadav has alleged that his voters were not allowed to cast their votes at many places. The SP district president also staged a sit-in regarding this, but the police administration understood and pacified the matter.
