Twitter removed the wrong map of India from the website

New Delhi: Twitter has removed the wrong map of India showing Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as separate countries from its website. In fact, in the map appearing on ‘Tweep Life’ today, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were being shown separately from India, after which the demand for strict action against Twitter started rising. However, it is now being told that this wrong map has been removed from Twitter’s website.

This matter came to the fore at a time when there are already many disputes going on between Twitter and the central government. In such a situation, these cases sparked a new controversy. If sources are to be believed, the Government of India can take strict action on Twitter for showing the wrong map of the country. According to the information, Twitter may face a financial penalty. Apart from this, its officers can be imprisoned for seven years and can also be blocked under section 69A of the IT Rules.

Even before this, once Twitter was warned about showing the wrong map of the country. The government had said that this is a matter related to the sovereignty and integrity of the country. The central government had warned Twitter for showing Jammu and Kashmir and Leh as part of China.
