True journalism is being strangled in BJP ruled states: Rahul

New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday directly attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the murder of journalist Parag Bhuiyan in Assam, alleging that True journalism is being strangled in BJP ruled states.

Mr. Gandhi tweeted, “Assam journalist Parag Bhuiyan, who exposed corruption of BJP leaders, was killed under suspicious circumstances. My condolences to his family. In the BJP ruled states of Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, true journalism is being strangled and the slaughterers are getting protection. ”

Raising the case of killing of journalists two days ago, the Congress leader said, “Uttar Pradesh journalist Vinay Tiwari has been brutally beaten up by BJP goons. If the matter of rights has gone, then ask that the rights will be remembered only for a select few journalists or even for victims like Vinay Tiwari. ”
