New Delhi: Indian Army has got a huge success in Jammu and Kashmir. Riyaz Naiku, the top militant of the valley and commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, has been killed by security forces at Begpura in Pulwama. The security forces were informed that a top commander might come into the area. He then conducted a search operation across the region. Mobile Internet services have been discontinued in Kashmir.
Riyaz Naiku took over as commander of Hizbul Mujahideen after Hizbul’s Poster Boy and Commander Burhan Wani were killed. Wani was killed in an encounter with security forces on 8 July 2016 in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district. The security forces placed a reward of Rs 12 lakh on Naiku’s head.
